Abstract
To curate a monographic issue dedicated to the figure of Furio Jesi, to contribute to actualize the incandescent cores of his thought, to date, has not been the result of a choice, but has imposed itself as a need, as a response to a state of the world, an urgency. The need to understand, analyze and respond in praxis to a world in which the rise of right-wingers and populisms, the performativity of narratives and discourses, the appeal to the past and eternal values as legitimation of the present, are mechanisms that have come to exposure in their brutal concreteness today.
