Abstract
The paper reflects on the relationship between modern technology and Big Data research, finding a series of metaphysical implications in this dyad. This result derives from a different approach to the Heideggerian question of technique. In summary, the technique is far from being understood as a destined realization of metaphysics, rather the analysis concerns the metaphysical fracture that marks the technical object, which exceeds its practical-instrumental use.
