Abstract

With the aim of identifying the historical position of Jonas’ thought, the text discusses the legacy of Heidegger’s thought on it (I) and the break with Heidegger in the philosophy of nature (II) and ethics (III), addressing the objective affinity with the theories of Hegel and Kant. At the same time, the figure of Jonas as the last philosopher of the German nation is traced.
